Beautiful mid-century modern afromosia (African teak) draw-leaf dining table, designed by John Herbert for A. Younger Furniture circa 1960s. Younger Furniture was a low volume manufacturer that aimed at the top end of the U.K. market. This table is of very high-quality design and construction, with beautifully shaped legs and extension leaves whose width gently tapers towards their ends. The table extends easily simply by pulling out the leaves from each end. It is a compact size, ideal for four to six, but can possibly accommodate up to eight when needed. It has been newly refinished, and it is in excellent vintage condition with only minor cosmetic wear from age and use.
The table is 51" long without leaves, 83.5" long fully extended. It is 31.75" deep at the center and 30.5" deep at the ends of the leaves, and 28.75" high.
