Antique Italian gilt table with carved figures of cherubs, angels and/or women. The base is very old and it is certainly very interesting both in design and materials. Much of the ornate base is painted gold and there are parts that are hand painted with another design and parts that are multicolored, not certain if it was intentional or if it's just patina from age. The wood top has been painted green with swirls of other colors. There is an open space in the top with eleven recessed lights that point diagonally up to shine light on the wall. The lights highlight whatever art is hanging above the table. This piece was custom done for people with a multi-million dollar lakefront house.
Total width including carvings is 79.25, just the top is 77.25" wide in the back and 60.25" wide in the front. Total depth including carvings is 26" and just the top is 23.25" deep. At the highest it is 40", where the trim piece that shields the lights sits, the main table top is 39" high.
