Japanese finely carved wood dragon chair in the Japanese Art Nouveau style, dating to the late Meiji Period, 1880-1915. It features high-relief carved dragons with inset bone eyes on the back and arms, with dragons holding the "flaming pearl" in their mouths at the front end of each arm. The seat has three carved medallions with calligraphy symbols, and there are carved details throughout. It's in good condition overall with some fading, most notably on the seat. There is a small chip on the lower front which is not particularly noticeable.
28.5" wide, 24" deep, 38" high, 17.5" seat height.
