Asian large and tall six panel folding screen or room divider with six different paintings and Chinese characters and stamps. Each panel has a nature scene, mostly with mountains, trees, water, people, houses and boats. They are nicely done and appear to be on silk with silk borders. Most of the paintings are green, gray and brown with pops of red on a neutral beige background. The backs on the panels are green on the interior sections and blue on the outside sections. This screen is just over 6' high and has a thin, dark wood frame and what appears to be hand made paper on the back side. This could act as either standing floor screen or flat as hanging wall art. We don't know if this was imported from China or Japan. There are several small but noticeable areas of discoloration on the dark green silk border on the front of the screen. There are also some small marks on the front and back of the screen and some very small chips in the wood border, mostly on the top and bottom where they are not noticeable.
The outside panels are 23.25" wide and the inside panels are 22.75" wide, the are all .375" deep and 72.5" high. The overall width depends on how much of an angle each panel stands. If it were used flat as wall art it would be 137.5", when it is free standing it not as wide. When it is folded up for storage or transport it is 23.25" wide, 4" deep, 72.5" high.
