Pair of mid-century Danish bear lounge chairs and matching ottomans designed by Bent Møller Jepsen and manufactured by Simo in Denmark. These chairs are reminiscent of the Wegner Papa Bear chair, and they look great from every angle. The original owner bought them in the late 1950s in Denmark and at some point, had them reupholstered in an age-appropriate orange fabric, probably wool. They have button tufting on the backs, reversible seat cushions, round tapered legs, exposed teak at the ends of the arms and custom matching fabric arm covers that protect the fabric underneath, but don't cover the teak. The ottomans are gently curved to match the front of the chairs and are covered in brownish-orange leather. One chair retains its Simo, Denmark badge on the inside of the frame. They are usable as is or would be amazing reupholstered. They're in good overall condition except for the foam on the chairs, which would benefit from being changed out for new foam. The seats dip down a bit and would also benefit from new straps.
The chairs are 34" wide, 37" deep, 40.5" high, and 15.5" seat height. The footstools are 24" wide, 15.5" deep, and 13.25" high.
