Brutalist Lamp Pair by Richard Barr for Laurel Lamp – $1495

Pair of brutalist lamps by Richard Barr for Laurel Lamp Company circa 1960s, very stylish with hammered metal bodies on walnut veneer square bases. They first appeared in the 1965 Laurel “Studio Collection” catalog. Both retain their original harps with extenders at the top, and three-way switches can produce dim or bright lighting, or in between. Very good vintage condition for age and use. One has some color loss on the body with parts that look a little more silver than gold. There are also a few small scratches on the body of the other one and both have small veneer chips on the bases. The finials don't match, but probably won't show once shades are added. One or both may have been rewired over the years as they have different length cords.

7.75" wide, 7" deep, 42" high to top of finial.
