Set of four ‘121’ dining chairs designed in 1965 by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy. The frames have simple, clean lines and are constructed out of solid wood that appears to be beech. Seats and backs have graceful curves and are comfortable. Both seat and backrest have their original high quality leather covers in a deep brown color. Three of the chairs still have the Cassina, made in Italy sticker on the bottom. Very good structural condition. Wood frames show wear, including scratches, marks and water stains. Leather also shows patina including scratches and marks. The latex foam inside in breaking down, giving a bumpy feel and look to the chairs. They are perfectly usable as is or could be restored to their former glory.
18.75" wide, 21.75" deep, 32" high, 17.5" seat height.
