Vintage Danish teak expanding dining table with split pedestal stretcher base and two leaves that store inside the table. It is nicely made with solid teak structure and top borders, beautifully book matched teak veneer top and solid wood rails. It offers some of the curves of a round table in a shape that's longer and narrower overall, a nice compromise between a round or rectangular table. It comfortably seats six without leaves and can accommodate up to ten with both leaves. The top slides open on wood rails to access the leaves, a task easily performed by one person. It is in good vintage condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The top has been refinished and looks great with the exception of a couple of scratches that couldn't be removed. The table is sturdy, but it creaks a bit when you put weight on the corners, not really noticeable in normal use. Made in Denmark by Ansager Mobler, it retains its original stamp underneath.
65" long, 39.5" wide, 28.75" high. Each leaf adds 19.75", so it expands to 84.75" or 104.5".
