Authentic pair of Eero Saarinen for Knoll tulip chairs manufactured in the 1960s, featuring cast aluminum bases below white molded fiberglass upper shells with removable dark gray seat cushions. Both the bases and the shells have a reinforced, plastic-bonded finish giving the appearance of a single unit. The cushions are attached to the seats with Velcro. They appear to have been reupholstered and the foam replaced with high-quality dense foam, making them quite comfortable. Beneath the cushions are old Knoll labels with their 320 Park Ave. NY address, where they were headquartered in the 1960s. Very good condition for age and use, with some small chips, scuffs, and patina to the frames. The foam is in excellent condition, as is the upholstery.
25.75" wide, 24.5" deep, 31.75" high, 19" seat height.
