Vintage Danish Minerva daybed sofa designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, made in Denmark by France & Søn, and imported by John Stuart. This two-piece teak modular sofa has chrome supports on the arms and back for a sleek look. Comfortable cushions are upholstered in dark olive-green fabric which has just been professionally cleaned. The seat and arm cushions are double-sided, and the back cushions are wedge-shaped with inner springs for ergonomic comfort. It can be used as a long couch, two separate pieces, or as a small corner sectional. Both pieces have two round metal badges, one for France and Son and the other for John Stuart. This couch dates back to the late 1950s-1960s. Excellent vintage condition with light overall wear for age and use. One seat cushion has a light red stain on one side, but it's in the back near the zipper so it is hidden by the back cushion. There is some color loss and patina to the chrome fasteners.
Each frame is 50.5" long and 30.5" deep, 30" high. 22" arm height, 12" high to the frame at the seat. Overall dimensions with the cushions are 101" long, 30.5" deep, 33" high, 17.5" seat height.
