Geoff Hollington for Herman Miller Relay credenza and hutch. This 1990s vintage two piece sideboard and hutch is part of the Relay line of office furniture and is fully finished on the back so it can be placed in the middle of a room. The lower credenza piece features two cabinet doors opening to a storage compartment on one side and a large file drawer, which may be used for either letter or legal hanging files, on the other side. There are two shallow top drawers with a slide out shelf above each, and a bank of four small drawers down the center. The long drawers and cabinet have metal interiors, the small drawers down the center have segmented plastic interiors. It is medium brown color, possibly cherry, drawers have long black metal handles. It has a key which locks all three of the long drawers. The top hutch piece is a very dark green and has two sets of glass doors wrapped in black metal, each with two height adjustable shelves. Each side has a pass through for cords which are concealed by metal covers below, the back of the top and the interior shelves are the same color of metal. The color is difficult to describe and is something between dusty rose, copper and light brown. It is heavy and sturdy and very well made, the top may be removed from the base by unscrewing a knob on each side. Herman Miller rectangular, silver foil label is present.
72" wide, 22" deep, 70" high. The credenza is 28.5" high, the hutch is 66.5" wide, 14" deep, 41.5" high.
