SOLD – George Nelson Action Office Roll Top Desk

George Nelson for Herman Miller roll top desk, designed in 1953 as part of the Action Office 1 (AO1) furniture line. The main concepts behind the AO1 furniture line were the physical and psychological needs of office workers. The desk features a polished aluminium base, laminated plastic sides and an oak wood tambour rolling door. It has deep storage in the back that can be accessed with the door open all the way, and two multi-compartment sliding drawers in the front. The feet are height adjustable and one is a replacement foot. The writing surface is angled. It is in good vintage condition with some wear appropriate for age.
