George Nelson for Herman Miller BSC (Basic Cabinet Series) three piece walnut vanity that also doubles as a desk. Designed in 1946, it consists of a four drawer chest on one side, a cabinet with adjustable interior shelf on the other, and a bridge vanity or desk piece which hangs between the two storage pieces. It features beautiful walnut grain, enhanced by brushed aluminum pulls and black legs. The center section opens to reveal a storage area for makeup etc., with a mirrored back and fluorescent light that turns off when closed. It has recently been rewired and the light works great. Original silver George Nelson Herman Miller label remains on the inside of the cabinet. It has been refinished and is in very good vintage condition, although there remain some signs of age and use.
