Vintage Hans Olsen for Frem Røjle 1952 Roundette dining set, a very special set that will elevate any space. This iconic design is very clever, with a space-saving configuration of the chair backrests fitting into the apron of the table for a clean, minimalist look that is fantastic. When round, the four matching chairs fit underneath perfectly. When you need more space, the table pulls apart to reveal a 20" hidden butterfly leaf that accommodates two more chairs, although only four chairs are included. The set has been newly refurbished, including refinishing the tabletop to show off the beautiful teak grain, and thoroughly cleaning and oiling the chairs. All seats have new high-density, firm foam and black vinyl. Two chairs retain their original black vinyl on the front of the chair backs, although the padding is mostly gone, while the other two have solid teak backs with no vinyl. Both table and chairs have stamps of Frem Røjle, Made in Denmark, and the Danish Furniture quality control badges. The table legs simply unscrew for easy moving. It's in excellent vintage condition overall, with a few remaining character marks and small cosmetic flaws.
The table is 47" in diameter when round, 29.25" high, the addition of the 20" leaf the table extends to 77". The chairs are 19.5" wide at the back, 18" wide at the seat, 17" deep, 28.25" high, and 18" seat height.
