Brightly colored serigraph with several figures and geometric shapes by renowned Chinese artist He Neng. The most dominant colors are warm and mostly in the background, in shades of orange, red, yellow and earth tones. The people are in more cool colors of blue and green. It is beautifully matted in off white, what looks to be linen or silk, with a gold border. The artwork sits off the background just a little bit and looks amazing. The frame is wood with a glossy black lacquer finish. Wired and ready to hang. Numbered lower left 11/293, signed lower right.
He Neng was born in the Sichuan Province of China and graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1965. Acknowledged as one of the founding fathers of the Yunnan Art School, He Neng encapsulates the Yunnan style in his paintings, a mixture of traditional and modern Chinese elements.
