A vintage pair of mid-century wall pockets, each marked Made in Japan. Molded in resin or plaster composite with a richly textured black finish, they are hand-painted with golden pomegranates and leafy green branches. A Greek key border trims the top, adding a classical design detail. The forms taper elegantly to a point, giving them architectural presence whether displayed as wall décor or used to hold dried arrangements. The pomegranate motif is a traditional symbol of prosperity and abundance, adding cultural depth to their decorative appeal. Good vintage condition with some surface wear and paint losses consistent with age. Both pieces remain structurally sound, with original wall-mount slots intact.
