Vintage 5-bay walnut modular unit by Noral Olson for Kopenhavn with an array of storage and display space. This is sure to transform a room to act as a focal point to draw one's eye to the design aesthetic of the wall unit and whatever is displayed on it. The six narrow rails simply attach to the wall, and then the assortment of shelves and cabinets may be placed anywhere in between as they hang on metal hooks from the rails at just about any height. It is very versatile, as it is also an option to make one 3-bay unit and one 1-bay unit. There are two three-drawer cabinets, two glass front cabinets with no back, two desks, and eight shelves. The drawers on the cabinets are graduated in depth, each desk piece has a black laminate top and one drawer. The cabinets with sliding glass doors have a height-adjustable shelf in each. Four of the shelves are shallow and the other four are deeper. This would make an excellent bookshelf or multi-purpose wall unit, the two desk sections could be placed side by side to create a long workspace. It is in very good vintage condition with few cosmetic flaws on the dark walnut exterior. The insides of the drawers show the most wear with stains and marks. Inside a desk drawer is the Kopenhavn maker's mark.
As shown, it measures 161.75" long, the three-drawer sections and the desk sections are 16.5" deep, the glass front cabinets and four of the shelves are 12" deep, and the other four shelves are 8" deep, the uprights attached to the wall are 72" high.
