Huge, fabulous porcelain "company" sign. It was part of a J.C. Penney Company sign, and while researching dates I do see this sign on old J.C. Penney buildings from the early 1900s. The metal wraps around a wood frame making it fairly easy to hang. The sign is bright yellow with raised black letters and trim and a lot of patina. It breaks up into two pieces for easy moving.
There is plenty of rust and some very interesting shaped holes, most notably after the letter Y and in the O. It is a striking sign and would add so much character to any space.
The "com" half is 92.5" long, the "pany" half is 93.5" long. It is 15'5" long total. It is 2.5" deep to the yellow part and 3.25" deep at the raised trim and letters. Sign is 30" high.
