Large burl bowl that is smooth on the inside and both somewhat smooth and gnarled on the outside. From certain angles it looks like a duck, or a shoe. The wood is very dark and looks almost black from a distance, with light and medium brown colors on the inside that really stand out in the right light. There are also some streaks of lighter brown colors around the smooth border. It is organic in nature and a free form shape, and the differentiation in grain and color is very pretty. There is a small hole on the inside, roughly the size of a nickel except not quite round. Very good condition with a few small dings and scratches.
33.75" long at its longest point, 18.25" deep at its deepest point, 8.5" high at its highest point.
