A signed Martz lamp designed for Marshall Studios, Veedersburg, Indiana, circa mid-20th century. The lamp showcases the studio’s hallmark design: a matte dark brown, almost black conical ceramic body capped with a turned walnut neck and finial. At some point, the lamp was customized with a walnut plinth base accented by natural sliced agate stones. These later additions introduce organic color, sparkle, and texture that contrast beautifully with the clean, understated Martz form, making the piece a striking one-of-a-kind statement. The lamp is paired with a neutral drum shade that provides soft, diffused light; the shade may not be original to the piece. A 3-way switch allows for versatile lighting levels. The body is signed Martz near the cord entry and retains remnants of the original Marshall Studios label, confirming authenticity. Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Wiring appears original and works well.

Lamp base is 11.75 wide, and 25” high to the top of the socket. Shade is about 16” diameter at the top, 17” diameter at the bottom, and 12” high. Total measurements with the shade on the lamp are 17” in diameter and 36.5” high to the top of the finial.
