Vintage rattan three seat sofa designed by Elinor McGuire for McGuire, recently refreshed with beautiful new upholstery. The frame has the classic McGuire profile with gently flared, steam bent arms, vertical stick back, and signature rawhide lashing at the joints, all finished in a warm, dark stain. It retains its brass McGuire medallion. The cushions have been thoughtfully updated for comfort and longevity. The three loose seat cushions have brand-new high-density foam and batting, while the three back cushions retain their original comfortable inserts and have been recovered to match. All cushions are upholstered in Knoll Little Devil fabric in Night Sky, a deep indigo blue that reads as a sophisticated neutral with a subtle, nubby texture. The seat deck has been re-webbed at some point, providing excellent support under the cushions. Ideal for a living room, sunroom, or stylish lounge, this sofa brings relaxed California coastal, island, and boho modern vibes, and pairs easily with both mid-century and traditional pieces. The frame shows light wear, small scuffs, and patina to the finish from age and use; overall presents well and is sturdy and ready for everyday seating. The webbing underneath the cushions has been replaced at some point. New upholstery is clean and unused.
