This vintage mid-century table lamp was likely American studio-made in the 1950s–60s, when West Coast workshops specialized in hand-carved wood bases paired with artisan-crafted shades. The block-form base is carved from solid wood with a stylized bamboo motif, giving it both sculptural and organic presence. The lamp retains its original rectangular shade, made of coated parchment with a woven cane overlay and whipstitched trim. When lit, the parchment liner produces a soft, ambient glow while the cane overlay adds texture and visual depth. The lamp features its original wiring with a three-way switch for adjustable light levels and a long cord for versatile placement. Good vintage condition. The carved wood shows natural knots, scratches, small dings, and rub marks consistent with age and use. Some finish wear along edges and carved details, but no structural cracks or repairs. Original wiring is intact and functional with a three-way switch and a long cord. Original parchment and cane shade with whipstitched trim. The parchment liner has spotting and discoloration from age but remains intact. The cane overlay shows areas of fraying, separation, and loss, particularly along edges, with some stitching missing and visible warping. Structurally sound and usable, still producing a warm, textured glow despite imperfections.
