A striking mid-century Japanese ceramic ikebana vessel with a bold, origami-inspired silhouette. Crafted in matte black glaze, this angular form exemplifies the modernist spirit of postwar Japanese design, merging traditional ikebana principles with contemporary abstraction. Likely intended for moribana-style floral arrangements, its faceted geometry and minimalist shape also make it a powerful sculptural statement on its own. The piece can serve beautifully as a centerpiece, low vase, or decorative art object. Excellent overall vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. A few small surface marks and minor glaze variations are visible under angled light but do not detract from its refined presentation. No chips, cracks, or repairs noted.

13" wide, 8" deep, and 5.25" high.
