A finely detailed miniature Navajo horsehair pottery jar by artist Carol Benally, signed on the underside and sold with its original certificate of authenticity. Crafted in the 1990s, this piece reflects the beauty of traditional Navajo techniques combined with contemporary artistry. The jar features a gray and black body enhanced by dramatic horsehair firing, which leaves organic black veining unique to each piece. Around the shoulder, a bold red etched band displays flowing geometric designs, while the lower section is decorated with hand-carved triangular motifs that add depth and rhythm to the form. Carol Benally’s work is widely collected, and this miniature jar showcases her precision and artistry on an intimate scale. Perfect for display on a shelf, in a curio cabinet, or as part of a Native American pottery collection. Very good vintage condition with minimal imperfections, and natural variations from the firing process.

3.25" in diameter, 2.25" high.
