Add an iconic touch of authentic mid-century modern style with this vintage sculptural table lamp by Modeline of California. The bold silhouette features a turned wood base with a rounded form and flared neck, accented by a polished brass collar that adds warmth and visual contrast. The color of the wood is lighter than most Modeline lamps. Topped with a tall, vintage cone shade in a fibrous, linen-like material, the lamp makes a dramatic statement while casting a soft, ambient glow. The cord is just over 100" in length so it can be placed fairly far from an outlet if necessary. This lamp features a 3-way switch operated by gently pulling down on the central wood neck, an elegant and distinctive design element typical of Modeline’s craftsmanship. A small length of string has been added to the original pull chain for easier use, a common and discreet vintage modification that can only be seen with the shade removed. The original finial is included. Very good vintage condition with light surface wear to the base and a few faint marks on the shade, including a subtle “PVW” written in pencil on the back side of the shade. There are also a few light dents in the lampshade.
