A refined and beautifully detailed pair of blue and white porcelain beehive water pots from the Chinese Republic era (1912–1949), traditionally used in scholar’s studios for holding water to mix with ink for calligraphy and painting. These miniature vessels feature a domed, beehive-shaped form with a narrow mouth and are richly decorated in deep cobalt blue underglaze. Each is adorned with alternating panels of florals, landscapes, and auspicious motifs, showcasing the artistry and symbolism characteristic of the period. With their delicate scale and intricate detailing, these petite vessels make a beautiful accent for shelves, display cabinets, or small floral arrangements. A lovely addition for collectors of Asian antiques, blue and white porcelain, or scholar’s objects. Excellent vintage condition with very minor imperfections for age and use.

3.25" diameter, 2" high, the opening at the top is about .75" in diameter.
