Patricia Hood “Salvage Song” mixed media assemblage on wood panel, created in 2004. This striking contemporary wall sculpture combines heavily textured oxidized metal with a smooth round stone nestled within the rusted steel form, set against a softly patterned abstract ground in muted earth tones, sage green, blush, and dusty mauve. The contrast between the rough corroded metal and the polished organic stone gives the piece a balanced industrial-meets-natural feel with a strong wabi-sabi sensibility. The recessed panel and dimensional construction create dramatic shadow play and texture, making this piece especially compelling in modern, organic modern, Japandi, or contemporary interiors. Professionally mounted on a substantial white wood panel with integrated hanging hardware. Signed and titled verso with original gallery labels from The Fountainhead Gallery. Very good vintage condition with a few small dings to the white background.
17" wide, 3" deep, and 23.25" high.
