Shino glazed ceramic vase with lots of visual interest, by a long time Seattle ceramic artist. He told us that it was selected by a Japanese curator to be part of an Ikebana exhibit. It is very textural, with colors of gray, green, brown and white. The glaze is mostly chunky with smoother areas in reddish brown, with an organic feel reminiscent of barnacles growing on something. Excellent vintage condition, with no visible damage post firing. There is a crack in the bottom from firing, so it is not watertight.
7" wide, 7" deep, 18.25" high. Opening at the top is 2" diameter.
