Vintage mid-century teak secretary desk, made in the UK by Sutcliffe of Todmorden circa 1960's. This piece offers organizational cubbies behind a slanted drop-down door, with green leather inlaid surface in the door that serves as the desktop. There is also plenty of storage space in three full-length dovetailed drawers with sculpted wood pulls, graduated in depth and featuring book-matched teak grain on the front. The piece sits up on legs so there is room for one's feet while sitting at the desk. There is a lock for the top part with key that doubles as a handle. Very good vintage condition with some expected minor wear.
29.75" wide, 16.75" deep, the top tapers to 9.25" deep, 40.25" high, writing surface is 29" high.
