Antique two piece stacking tansu chest with five large drawers on the top piece and two small drawers behind a small locking door on the bottom corner. It has heavy iron handles and more iron work on the sides and drawers. The sides have handles that pop up that were originally designed for carrying with the assistance of a bamboo pole. It makes a great dresser or hall or entry piece. The two sections may also be used independently, the top half is a little higher than the bottom half. Good condition for age with plenty of patina.
