Beautiful vintage 'Mingo' lounge chair and matching ottoman by Yngve Ekstrom for Swedese circa 1960's. This chair is quite striking, featuring a solid teak frame with sculpted armrests that flow beautifully into the legs, visible brass hardware, and a high back seat that appears to float in the air. The matching ottoman is particularly hard to find, making the set more desirable. Unlike so many vintage mid-century chairs this one is very comfortable, with the high back and removable headrest. The frame has been completely refinished, and it is sturdy and looks great. Both chair and ottoman have been reupholstered at some point in the past. Fabric has been professionally cleaned and is in good usable condition with some fading.
Chair is 26.25 wide, 33" deep, 38" high, 16" seat height. Ottoman is 23.25" wide, 20.5" deep, 16" high, 18.5" high at frame.
